Diagnosis and treatment for acute illness and injury.
Ex. Hospitals, diagnostic centers
Tertiary care involves?
Highly technical care.
Ex. Intensive care, oncology, burn units.
What does Restorative care involve?
Follow up care for restoring health back to the previous health standard or better.
Ex. Home health and rehab
Continuing health addresses?
Long-term or chronic care.
Ex. End of life care, hospice, adult day care, in home respite care.
