What was invented first, the personal computer or the Internet (ARPANET)?
The Internet was activated in 1969; the personal computer was introduced in 1975.
Difference between Internet and World Wide Web
Internet is a worldwide connection of computer networks, invented 1969; WWW is global library available to anyone connected to the internet, invented 1989
What is Carr’s main argument about information technology?
That information technology is just a commodity and cannot be used to gain a competitive advantage.
Instead of viewing technology as an investment that will make a company stand out, it should be seen as something like electricity: It should be managed to reduce costs, ensure that it is always running, and be as risk-free as possible.
