- Their body is divided made up of finely branched thread called mycelium divided into Vertical and horizontal hyphae
- They have a membrane bound nucleus
- They are extracellular in nature
- Cell wall is present and made of comple sugar called chitin
- They have a horizontal hyphae for root-like rhizoids used for nutrions
