What is word of mouth?

A

It succeeds when it is authentic, rather than choreographed and peer-driven, than than it corporate sponsored. Cheap method and especially effective with younger people.

A

Social media is important for influence. Sentiment tracking is more important, a process of monitoring and measuring social media to gauge the public’s mood in real time

A

Once a message gains a certain amount of momentum, it reaches a tipping point and become contagious. A few things need to happen:

  1. Uber influencers (right kind of people must be involved)
  2. Go viral
  3. Planned or unplanned? Viral campaign is difficult to orchestrate
