Culture
A way of life or a way of being that is shared by a group of people.

Primary Source Image
Made by a witness of the thing that happened.
Secondary Source Image
Image that is created from memory, imagination or a pre-existing image
Core Values
Important Ideas or beliefs about how people should live.
World View
A way of looking at the world that reflect ones core values.
Traditional Teachings
a unique belief of the first nations passed down orally from generation to generation.
Oral Culture
Stories told to pass down teachings

Judged other global cultures and ideas according to their own values and standers

Clans
Lived in small villages of extended families
Government
is the way people organize themselves to choose leaders and make decisions.
Decision Making by Consensus
A way of solving problems by discussing the topic and not settling until a decision is made that everyone can live with.
Three Sisters
Corn Bean and Squash planted together to help each other grow. Lesson on working together.
Matrilineal
Head of each long house was a woman. Husbands went to live with the wife’s family in her house. The women in the clan owned all the possessions in the house.

Head of each Long house.

The land, water, mountains, forests, planets, wild life and climate.

The most respected members in aboriginal communities they use there wisdom to help people in there communities make good decisions.

Everyone harvested the rice at the same time in an organized way. Together.
Economy
They way that people meet their basic needs such as food, clothing and shelter
Four core values
