internal iliac (hypogastric) arteries
descend into pelvis dividing into anterior and posterior
external iliac arteries
lateral and inferior direction along medial side of psoas major
common femoral arteries
begin under inguinal ligament, divides into superficial and deep
superficial femoral arteries
run length of thigh and enter at popliteal fossa
deep femoral arteries (profunda femoris)
approximately 5 cm from inguinal ligament on lateral side
popliteal arteries
distal continuation of superficial femoral
anterial tibial arteries
run deep in front of leg along anterior surface of interosseous membrane
tibioperoneal trunk
second branch of distal popliteal
posterior tibial arteries
extend obliquely down posterior medial side of leg
peroneal arteries
pass toward fibula and down medial side of bone
DPA
begins as anterior tibial crosses in front of ankle bone, traverses dorsum to base of first toe
