A light year is a common unit of measurement meaning the distance that light travels in one year.

Cosmogony is the study of ideas of the origin of the universe.

Cosmology is a study of the nature or the observable universe.
What is an equinox?
An equinox occurs when the path of the sun crossed the celestial equator. At that time, day and night are equal. This also signifies the beginning of spring and fall.
What is a solstice?
A solstice is when the sun is farthest from the celestial equator as possible. Itβs the longest day in Summer and the shortest day in winter.
Define chiasm
A chiasm is a Hebrew literary method. It lists things in a sandwich order instead of a logical sequence.
What are the 5 biblical purposes of the stars?
The first purpose for these bodies is to be lights.
The second is to serve as signs.
The third is to serve to mark the seasons.
The fourth is to mark days and years.
The final reason is to emphasize rule.
Why should Christians study the stars?
We study the stars for many reasons. First, they are a tribute to our heavenly creator. Second, great men of faith studied them. Third, they are symbols revealing the word concerning Christ and the word concerning earthy rulers.
