Destruction of the ocean and fish depletion are some examples due to human activity
What is the growing ecological footprint?
This means tracking ecological footprint by person and making a score.
What does IPAT formula stand for?
Impact = population + affluence + technology
What are the four revolutionary culture experiences for humanity?
Agriculture. Industrial. Information. (and the fourth is probably Green Environment or “sustainability”)
What does RAP stand for when it comes to the causes of the environmental problem?
Rapid population growth (needs). Affluency (increase consumption). Poverty (low knowledge).
What are the last two letters defining causes of problems with the environment?
PP (The first P says price of goods is an issue and does not reflect the full cost or not appropriately incentived. The second P is for people that are increasingly isolated from nature due to video games and living indoors a lot of the time.
What are the three world views for interpreting the problems with the environment?
- HC (Human Centered)
- LC (Life Centered)
- EC (Earth Centered)
What are the two categories of conservation and protection in the United States?
- P (Preservationist)

Live off your capital. Do not over draft from your capital. In 18 years if you over draft from a lot of capital, you can be broke.
