God was already making a promise to save humanity. Mary would be the new Eve and Christ would be the new Adam to restore humanity’s original holiness and justice.
What is the significance of God’s covenant with Noah?
Noah’s descendants multiply to become the nations of the world which means that the covenant will remain in force as long as he world lasts
What 3 things did God’s promise in his covenant with Abraham?
- make him a great nation by promising Abraham many descendants
- provide Abraham and his descendants a land of their own
- to make Abraham and his descendants a blessing for all he nations
Why did it look like God’s covenant with David would go unfulfilled?
In 587 BC, kingdom was destroyed, therefore having no more Davidic kings.
How was God’s Covenant with fulfilled?
Jesus Christ was a direct descendant of David and established the Kingdom of God so the covenant was fulfilled.
