Post-op fever rule of W’s
- Wind: watch for signs of atelectasis and pneumonia
- Water: watch for signs of UTI (cystitis)
- Walking: pt should be mobile otherwise risk of DVT
- Wound: make sure to manage any wounds to prevent infection
- Wonder drugs: push antimicrobrials and anesthetics prn
