base line
designated airspace over a piece of land. Like surface property, may be transferred. 153
air lots

point of beginning, POB
in a metes and bounds legal description, the ending point of the survey, which is also the point of beginning. 145
point of ending POE
ttthe main imaginary line running north and south and crossing a baase line at a definite point; used by surveyors for reference in locating and describing land under the rectangular (government) survey system of legal description. 146
principal meridian

MATH SHORTCUT:
To calculate acres in a survey system description, multiply all the denominators and divide that number into 640 acres.
for instance, the SE1/4 of SE1/4 of SE1/4 of Section 1= 4x4x4=64;
640/64= 10 acres.
