Fire line holding
Continue to suppress the fire by working progressively from the perimeter inwards
Mop up
Extinguish a fire, after its been brought under control
Fire demobilization
All personal and equipment are removed including garbage
Direct attack
Action is taken against the flames at the edge or closely parallel to it
Indirect
Is used at a very distance from the advancing fire the method is generally used against fire soda too hot, too fast or too big for direct attack
Hot spotting
Is a direct attack strategy used to control areas. Exhibiting the most rapid spread to control the fire.
Most common initial action on small fires with low intensity
HF I must be three or less
Parallel attack
Building an attack line around the fire
Flank attack
Attacking the fire from the flank
