Majority of the whites in the South were Yomen Farmers which owned few to no slaves.

Spirituals are songs and folktales shared by slaves to ease their suffering and remind them of Africa (used to communicate in secret).

The mechanical reaper is made to cut plants more efficiently and was made by Cyrus McCormick.

Nativists were ab American party that was racist and discriminatory against immigrants.
