How do third declension adjectives work?
Adjectives of the third declension follow the pattern of -I- stem nouns. Adjectives of the third declension have three separate tables they fall into. One with 3 endings, which are masculine, feminine and neuter.
The second has two endings of adjectives use the same set of endings for masculine and feminine, but a separate for neuter.
One ending adjectives also have two separate tables but they do not differentiate much.
=nom . sg . + gen . sg . forms )
How would you express cause? such as…the man is suffering from a wound…
…she does it because she cares…
By using the Ablative (without a preposition)
Preposition + accusative (de/ex)
Preposition +ablative (ob/propter)
Causā and grātiā with the genitive can also be used to show “because of”
How to distinguish different uses of the ablative?
It is sometimes hard to distinguish this use of the ablative from an ablative of means ( §23 ) or ablative of manner ( §34 ) . If you aren’t sure , try translating “ because of “
“by means of” and
” with “
to see which suits the context best .

What is the perfect tense?
The perfect tense is a tense in the past which is frequently seen as ‘the historic perfect tense’ or ‘the tense of narration’
- it is the most simple form of past tense = I travelled to Italy and saw Rome.

What are the special adjectives ending in -ius?
There are nine irregular first and second declension adjectives in Latin , which follow the same pattern for the genitive and dative singular that you have seen in the demonstrative pronouns.
These adjectives decline as usual for the first and second declension (bonus, bona, bonum) but have an
-ius = in the genitive singular
-i = in the dative singular
How would you express time?
With accusative - length of time.
With ablative - Time when, indicating a point in time.
