Where human landscapes lack distinctiveness and have little connection with geographical contexts

Where major shopping areas are dominated by chain stores so all places seen the same
Endogenous
Influenced on a place that are of local origin
Exogenous
Influenced on a place that aren’t of local origin
Identity
Real or perceived characteristics that define a place, shape by people and processes
Representation of place
Means of communication by which people tell each other about places
Contested place
Place where tension has arisen because of disagreements on how it should be managed
Stereotypes
Incomplete idea of place, not all un true tho
Place remaking
Physical, economic, social and cultural changes caused by government led regeneration and gentrification
Community cohesion
Diverse people living in the same area that share similar feelings of identity and belonging
Character of a Place
Physical and human geographical features that distinguish a particular place
