What does a low income quality of life look like?
Poverty stricken - 1$ a day and people have to live in poor conditions
What does a middle income quality of life look like?
People are beginning to earn more money and they are now having better access to water, food and transport. They are now no longer in poverty - 16$ a day
What does a high income quality of life look like?
People earning more than 64$ a day and have access to hot and cold water, they go to school and go on vacations

A composite measure using data of income, life expectancy and education
How would the birth rate change in a developing country?
Would fall as education increases and women choose to work before family life.
How would the population size change in a developing country?
Increase as the area becomes economically stronger and attracts people - will quickly decrease after
How would the life expectancy change in a developing country?
Increases due to a better healthcare and better quality of life
What is the main cause of the rapid population growth?
High BR due to high infant mortality rate, meaning families will have more children. Meaning population will increase as death rate falls
How would the Death rates change in a developing country?
Decrease as healthcare will improve meaning average life expectancy increases due to better medicine ect

Owned by France and the French caused the land to be infertile. When Haiti claimed independence France wanted 15 mill in debt which is still being paid

Colonised by Spain, but the remaining natives and slaves formed a stable economy and good way of life

Countries are cut off from the sea and cannot trade
Why would diseases cause uneven development?
Affect the ability of a population to stay healthy to work
Why would extreme weather cause uneven development?
Slows development and can cause costly repair - decreases any tourism
Why would limited access to clean water cause uneven development?
Can stifle development by making people sick and can’t work
