-To know what are the possible changes in the employee status and causes of these changes from the time he is hired until termination or retirement.
-To understand the procedure of promotion, transfer, demotion and separation.

Changes in Personnel Status
the status of a worker in a company on the basis of the contract of work or duration of work done.
EMPLOYMENT STATUS
Is a job that is normally designed or designated for recent graduates of a given discipline, and does not require prior experience in the field or profession .
ENTRY LEVEL JOB
undertakes a combination of structured training and work. The
flexibility of traineeship means wage rates and employment conditions vary
depending on the type of traineeship.
TRAINEE
works on an hourly or daily basis, and in most case for fewer hours per week than the ordinary weekly working hours of a full-time
employee.
CASUAL EMPLOYEE
is one who, for a given period of time, is being observed and evaluated to determine whether or not he is qualified for
permanent employee.
PROBATIONARY EMPLOYEE
work for a single employer and are paid directly by that employer. In addition to their wages they offer receive benefits like subsidized health care, paid vacations, holidays, sick time or contributions to
a retirement plan.
PERMANENT EMPLOYEE
refer to as assignment of the right man to the right job.
PLACEMENT
Upon entering the organization is bound
to change his/her employment

PROMOTION

SENIORITY RULE

FAVORITSM
an emotional bond between the employee and any person in higher position.
PERSONAL ATTACHMENT
Movement from one job to another of equivalent rank or position at the same pay class within the organization. (involves changes in Duties and responsibilities and
increase in pay ( depending on the job inclusion)
EMPLOYEE TRANSFER
Done for the employee to substitute for an absent employee or for an employee to learn other duties and responsibilities as preparation for promotion
TEMPORARY TRANSFER
This is made to fill in a vacant position in another unit or department requiring the skills and capabilities of the employee being transferred. In some cases this is done to avoid lay off
PERMANENT TRANSFER
is resorted to when an employee is not suited to his present job caused by poor selection process.
REMEDIAL TRANSFER
defined as the movement of an employee from his present job to a job of lower rating or in a lower grade.
the most difficult personnel functions of the HRD, as this creates tension and anxiety.
DEMOTION
is the action or state of moving or being moved apart
SEPARATION
When either you or your employer wants to end the employment relationship, you do so by terminating the contract of service
TERMINATION
an act of retiring or giving up a position or voluntary separation.
RESIGNATION
Redundancy in the Job is the temporary suspension or permanent termination of employment of an employee or downsizing the number of employee.
LAYOFF
is the formal act of leaving or quitting one’s office or position. A resignation can occur when a person holding a position gained by election or appointment steps down, but leaving a position upon the expiration of a term, or choosing not to seek an additional term, is not considered resignation.
