Carburettor Heat - ON
Mixture - Full RICH
T’s & P’s checked in GREEN
Lookout - Left, centre (below), right
POWER-ON STALL ENTRY
- Smoothly close throttle to idle
- Keep ailerons neutral and balance ball centred
- As airspeed decreases, gently apply backpressure to raise the nose and maintain altitude
- Upon experiencing the SYMPTOMS of an impending stall, apply FULL power
POWER-ON RECOVERY
- Control Yoke Neutral
- Relax Back Pressure
(1/2 Ground attitude)
As nose descends past Horizon:
- Carburettor Heat OFF
- Apply Full Power
- Balance with Rudder
Once wings unstalled:
- Level wings with aileron if REQ
- Raise nose to Vy
- Level off once target altitude is regained

Situation
- Confirm the target alititude is regained, climb if required. Orientate yourself, identifying a reference point, if required realign the DI and erect the FAI
Airframe
- Ensure the desired configuration is set, adjust if required, and visually scan for damage
Fuel
- Confirm the correct fuel tank is selected, switch the fuel pump off if required
Engine
- Confirm carby heat is off as required, check the engine T’s and P’s and other systems
