What is acute myocardial ischemia?
Deficiency of blood flow to heart muscles.
What is angina?
Sharp pain in the chest resulting from decrease in blood supply to the heart muscle.

X-ray image of blood vessels surrounding the heart.
What is an antiarrhythmic?
Drug that works against or prevents abnormal heart beats.
What is a diuretic?
Drug that causes the kidneys to allow more fluid to leave the body.
What is an anticoagulant?
Drug that prevents clotting.
What is hypertension?
High blood pressure.
What is a myocardial infarction?
Area of dead tissue within heart muscle; heart attack.
What is an anemic condition?
Pertaining to a condition of less than normal numbers of red blood cells or of hemoglobin inside the red cells.
What is menorrhagia?
Excessive bleeding from the uterus during the time of menstruation.
What is dysmenorrhea?
Painful menstrual flow.
What are fibroids?
Benign growths of muscle tissue in the uterus.
What is a hysterectomy?
Removal of the uterus.
What is an ultrasound?
Sound waves with greater frequency than can be heard by the human ear.
What is a sonogram?
Record of sound waves after they bounce off organs in the body.
What does pelvic refer to?
Pertaining to the hip region.
