Beck Depression Inventory
- series of questions

- easy to see where they are improving and what needs to be worke on overtime
MMPI
- 500 T/F questions for response patterns
- clinical scales: pattern of responses
- faking problems, chest pain, depression, paranoia.
Intelligence Testing

- ID kids who may need tutoring, placement, cognitive problems (IQ)
Wechsler Intelligence Scale
- information, comprehension, problem solving
- block design
- answer graded 0-2 scale
Bender Desgin Test
- neurological, brain damage
- replication
- translating something happening in the brain through patterns
Neurological
EEG -receiving information, processing, sleep disorders
CAT- X-ray of the brain, swelling, stoke
MRI-blood/necrosis, ligaments
PET- inject radioactive isotope metabolized into blood and light up when activity in areas of the brain
Diagnostic/ Classification.
Labels: nomenclature (diabetic, nice, organized, helpful)
Category: accurate and valid describes someone
DSM
-at least 5 of them for 2 weeks or more
DSM3 revised description: multi axial system (factors)
DSM4 more on culture, not separate mind and body

Generalized Anxiety Disorder
