Agitated delirium
Also known as excited delirium is a neurocognitive disorder and physiological response
Anxiety
Is a state of painful uneasiness about impending problems and most often things that are out of one’s control

Impairment of the neurons of the brain to include memory disorders personality changes and impaired reasoning
Depression
One of the most common psychiatric conditions. It is characterized by deep feelings of sadness worthlessness discouragement and hopelessness feelings that often do not seem connected to the actual circumstances of the persons life
Dystonia
A movement disorder that causes involuntary contractions of muscles resulting in twisting and repetitive movements that are sometimes painful
Humane restraints
Restraints used with a patient. That means they are padded so that they will not injure a patient who struggles against them
Neurogenic disorders
Is relatively new term used in the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders
Panic attack
Common presentation of anxiety is
Paranoia
Highly exaggerated or unwarranted mistrust or suspiciousness of others
Phobia
Which falls under the category of anxiety disorders is an irrational fear often triggered by a specific object or event
Psychiatric disorder
Defined as an abnormal mental condition that significantly impacts ones thoughts moods perceptions orientation or memory that impairs judgment behavior recognition of reality or the ability to perform activities of daily living to care for oneself
Psychiatric emergency
Which can at times be considered a behavioral emergency is a situation in which patients present with behaviors that are abnormal
Psychosis
Is any mental state in which the patient is out of touch with reality
Reasonable force
Minimum amount of force required to keep the patient from injury himself or others
