Stakeholder
Individual, group, organization who may affect, be affected by, or perceive to be affected by a decision, activity, or outcome of a project
Stakeholders do what to a project
May exert competing influence over project, deliverables, project team to ACHIEVE A SET OF OUTCOMES that satisfy strategic business objectives or other needs
Project governance
Alignment of the project with stakeholders’ needs or objectives
What is critical to successful management of stakeholder engagement and achievement or organizational objectives
Project Governance
What does Project Governance allow
1) Enables organizations to consistently manage projects 2) maximize the value of project outcomes
3) align projects with business strategy
Project Governance provides what
Framework in which PM and sponsors can make decision that satisfy both stakeholder needs, expectations, organizational strategic objectives or address circumstances where these may not be in alignment

Project Governance Framework
Provides PM and team with structure, processes, decision-making models and tools for managing the project while supporting/controlling project for successful delivery
