What is the definition of a philosophy?
Mindset impacts how you see the world & how you see. Changing mindset alters perspective in seeing differently. Good attitude helps in the healing process.
What are the common concepts of Nursing Theory?
- Person – pt. is most important; focus of nursing (always tell the truth).
- Environment – keep air pure as pure as water, light, drainage, cleanliness.
- Health – meet personal needs of pt.; disease is a reparative process.
- Nursing – the attributions, characteristics, and action of the nurse providing care.
What is Evidence-Based Practice?
A problem-solving approach using the best evidence available. Blends the science & art. Specific nursing interventions with certain illnesses, diseases, treatments, or surgical procedures. EBP mandates the analysis & systematic review of research findings.

Outline the process of human growth & development from birth to death.
