What is schedule I classification?
Depressant of the Central Nervous System. Substances with addictive properties, presenting a risk of abuse. Slows activity of CNS, inducing relaxation.
What is schedule II classification?
Stimulant of the CNS activity (psychedelic’s).
Activate CNS to increase body functions. Feelings of excitement and euphoria, panic attacks.
What is the schedule III classification?
Deregulators of the CNS (Hallucinogens).
Substances that alter brain activity inducing a state of altered consciousness.
What is a stimulant?
Excites the Nervous System
What is a depressant?
Reduces arousal and stimulation
What is an opioid?
Slows down messages through release of DA
What are cannabinoids?
Act on the endocannabinoid system.
What are dissociative drugs?
Dissociative anesthetics. Distort sensory perceptions, feeling of disconnection.
What are empathogens?
Increases feeling of empathy and benevolence. Increases levels of dopamine and serotonin.
What are psychedelics?
Changes perceptions, moods, and cognitive processes.
