Q

What does cooling and heating do to matter?

A
  • Heat can change solids to liquids. Ex. Ice/snow melting when the air is warm or butter melting when it’s heated.
  • Heat can change liquids to gases. Ex. Heat from sunlight evaporates water or boiling water creates water vapor (gas).
  • Freezing (liquid) water turns it into a solid.
