Wipe off the white stuff

What is Median rhomboid glossitis?
Erythematous candidiasis (bald red spot on middle of tongue)
What does angular cheilitis look like?
Red lesion on corners of mouth
What is chronic multifocal candidiasis?
Median rhomboid glossitis plus other infections
How to treat denture stomatitis?
Treat the mouth and the denture
What causes mucocutaneous candidiasis? what can be caused by it?
Young patients with endocrine issues, autoimmune (APECED), which can have cancer
When would you not use Nystatin, oral suspension for candidiasis?
Xerostomia related candidiasis
What is amphoterecin prescribed for?
life-threatening systemic fungal infections
What drug do you prescribe for Candidiasis?
Nystatin
Is a patient has Xerostomia why wouldn’t you use Nystatin? and What else would you prescribe for Candidiasis?
Nystatin has sugar (causes cavities in xerostomia)
