Knowing how to plan a virtualization environment is of great importance to any organization to adopt a cloud computing infrastructure. A virtualization host computer uses software called a hypervisor that allows a single physical computer to host multiple guests called virtual machines, which can run different operating systems and have different amounts of compute resources assigned to each guest. Understanding how a host computer and a guest virtual machine interact and share resources is a key concept not only to the CompTIA Cloud+ exam but to a successful cloud computing implementation.
