A proper disaster recovery plan (DRP) can help an organization plan for and respond to a disaster by preparing the environment for a variety of disasters with redundancy and failover. An organization can set up a multisite configuration to have a hot site, warm site, or cold site so that in the event something happens to the primary data center the organization can migrate to a secondary data center and continue to operate.
