Discovery: The Lords of Sicán, A.D. 900-1100

Sicán lords were buried with elaborate graves. These included fine copper and gold. Looters have targeted their burials. It took 6 months to excavate the east tomb. five skeletons lay in said tomb, as well as 12.2 tons of treasures. artifacts made of gold, copper, and silver.

a thin 1000 year old cattle dung covered floor appeared at the bottom of a trench. They found 3 large boulders in the floor. This gave context. it told a story of long forgotten household behavior.
