Marriage
Marriage is becoming a minority status; today less than half of all households consist of married couples.

What triggers sex differentiation?
triggered by SRY gene, located on the Y chromosome (only males have it)
How do we end up as females and males?

What ducts do both sexes posses?
Wolffan and Mullerian (we aRE all the same at one point).
Wolffan Ducts are
precursors of the male reproductive tract.
Mullerian ducts are
Müllerian ducts are precursors of the female reproductive tract.
anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH)
In males, testes produce anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) to eliminate the female ducts.
Ovaries do not produce AMH so…..
Ovaries do not produce AMH; thus females maintain their Müllerian structures.
We initially start out female and the men produce AMH and lose the female organs)
