Were all cultures hunter-gatherer in nature for the duration of their civilization?
No, some tribes stopped hunting and gathering as they found that planting seeds could provide food for a tribe. This caused settlements and more permanent homes to form.
Why did people first come to the Americas? Why did they stop?
People were following their food (animal migrations), but stopped when the Bering land bridge was covered by water when the glaciers melted.
