How long must worker protection standard application records be posted?
No later than 24 hrs after an application and continuously until 30 days after the last restricted entry interval.
Define a commercial applicator for hire
Commercial applicators: work for a pesticide business, controls pests for consumers. EX: termite control or lawn care business
Define a Commercial applicator NOT for hire
Uses pesticides as a part of their job duties. EX: golf course super; In house applicator at a private school or food plant
Define Inactive Applicator
Does not use pesticides on the job but maintain their certificate by renewing every 2 yrs and taking re-certification courses

What is the difference between a registered Tech and a Commercial Applicator?
Both do the same work, but a Registered Tech may use Only General Use pesticides under the direct supervision of a commercial applicator.

20 hrs on the job training
Must have direct, onsite supervision of a certified commercial applicator
Credentials needed to sit for the Commercial Applicator Exam:
Valid VA registered tech for 1 year
Proof of formal education training and/or experience in pesticide use comparable to 1 year’s experience
