Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment
What is CGA?
A multidisciplinary team assessment to determine an elderly persons medical, psychosocial and functional capacities to develop a plan and long term follow up
Review regularly
Why can differential diagnosis not be used?
There is always more than one problem i.e multifactorial
Use a problem list instead - a list of all the problems a patient has e.g confusion, falls, polypharmacy
