A system in which each branch of government is able to
check, or restrain, the power of the others.
Checks and balances

perform.
Separation of powers

applies to the Legislative branch and its making of state laws
Wisdom
A power or privilege held by the general public as the result of a constitution,
statute, regulation, judicial precedent, or other type of law
