What is the aim of the CFPAS?
Develop CF members through constructive feedback & accurately assess the level of performance & potential demonstrated for career admin purposes.
What are the CFPAS processes?
PDR (Personnel Development Review): Initial interviews, feedback sessions
PER (Personnel Evaluation Report): PER
What is the succession planning?
- Potential (O) lists: O3, O2, O1 (who will make executive rank some day
- Ranking lists: A,B (who will get promoted next year)
What is the CFPAS philosophy?
- Tell ppl what you want them to do
- Tell them how well you want them to do it
- Tell them how well they did(n’t) do it
- Make a plan to develop strengths/weakness
WHat are the CFPAS challenges?
Members: mbrs have to be involved; some find this challenging
Unit: significant time investment from superiors
What are the CFPAS accomplishments?
a) Mbrs responsible for their own career development
b) Separating performance and potential gives better picture of mbrs abilities
c) formalized: fair and accurate assessment
d) mbr provided with continuous feedback
