- Tends to be unilateral
- Requires further diagnostic testing
- Manipulation may be offered with caution

- How do you perform FPR on Hypertonic Suboccipital Muscles?
A
- Slightly flex neck to neutralize spinal curve
- Apply < 1 lb of compressive force
- Move patient into dysfunction (where it likes to do)
- Hold 3-5 sec
- Return to neutral and release compressive force
- Reasses tonicity

- How do you perform FPR of a cervical segment dysfunction?
A
- Slightly flex head and neck to neutralize spinal curve
- Apply axial compression (<1 lb) of pressure and move segment to ease of motion
