Describe the quality control mechanism ‘certification-based ecolabels’ as outlined by Weaver (2008)?
A
They are the strongest level of quality control in which methods are used to standardize the promotion of environmental claims by following compliance to set criteria, generally based on third party, impartial verification. As well, it shows that the origanisation is certified as complying with a set of standard criteria that reflect ecologically, socioculturally and economically sustainable best practice.
