Recent commercial pilot flight experience requirements?
Flight review given by appropriately rated flight instructor in the previous 24 months.
To carry passengers:
In the preceding 90 days - 3 take offs and landings.
Commercial pilot privileges?
Can carry persons for compensation or hire. Can’t act as commercial operator, can only work for a commercial operator.
Medical certificate requirements?
Need second class medical certificate to exercise commercial pilot privileges. It lasts 12 months.
What time do you need to log?
Any flight time that was necessary to meet a requirement. I would log all flights though.
What documents are required to be on board an aircraft prior to flight?
Airworthiness certificate
Registration certificate
Operating limitations (POH)
Weight and balance
Which documents must be displayed so the passengers and crew can see?
The airworthiness certificate
What is a MEL?
Minimum equipment list. List of items that can be dysfunctional and the airplane still be able to fly. Usually for airlines. We have an Equipment List
Do you take the engine logbooks with you in flight?
No, keep them in a safe place on ground.
What are special flight permits?
It lets an airplane that doesn’t meet airworthiness requirements to fly somewhere to take care of those requirements.

Tachometer Oil pressure gage Manifold pressure Airspeed indicator Temperature gauge (liquid cooled only) Oil temperature gauge

Instruments and equipment required for VFR night flight?
Fuses (spares) or circuit breakers Landing light (only for hire) Anti collision lights Position lights Source of electricity
Limitation of commercial pilots if they don’t have an instrument rating?
1) Carriage of passengers for hire in flights longer than 50 NM
2) The carriage of passengers for hire at night
What is an airworthiness directive? What types are there?
Like a call recall. A notification to owners and operators of a certified aircraft that there is a known problem with it.
There are recurring and one time ones.
