Q

Draw out where the important cortical areas on the brain are.

A
  1. Frontal - Primary Motor, FEF, PFC, Broca’s
  2. Parietal - Primary Sensory
  3. Occipital - Primary Visual

Q

What is the significance of the central sulcus?

A
  • Separates primary motor and primary sensory cortexes
  • A deep central sulcus on one side often leads to contralateral hand dominance

Q

What does Wernicke’s sensory speech area do?

A
  • Allows speech to be understood
  • Mainly found on left hemisphere
