Q

CCA- ECA- ICA to ant

A
  • ICA through carotid canal of temporal bone of skull and into cranial cavity
  • ICA give off middle cerebral aa (temporal and parietal lobes), anterior cerebral aa (frontal, sup med parietal lobes)
  • ant cerebral communicate via ant communicating aa

Q

Post vertebral

A
  • via transverse foramia of cervical vertebra
  • via foreman magnum
  • post inf cerebellar aa (PICA) (medulla and part of cerebellum)
  • vertebral unite into basilar aa which gives off anterior inf cerebella aa (AICA) (lat pons and part of cerebellum) and small pontine aa to supply mid pons and post cerebral aa
  • post cerebral aa give of communicating aa which merge w ICA closing circle

Q

How does brain drain blood

A
  • superior Sagittal (along longitudinal fissue)
