Sella
The mid point of the sella tursica. The sella tunica houses the pituitary gland.
Nasion
The most anterior part of the frontonasal suture.
Orbitale
The most inferior, anterior point on the margin of the orbit.
A point
The deepest concavity on the anterior profile of the maxilla.
B point
The deepest concavity on the anterior surface of the mandibular symphysis.
Anterior nasal spine
The tip of the anterior process of the maxilla.
Posterior nasal spine
The tip of the posterior nasal spine of the maxilla.
Pogonion
The most anterior point on the mandibular symphysis.
Menton
The lowest point on the mandibular symphysis.
Gonion
The most inferior, posterior point on the angle of the mandible
Articulare
The junction between the inferior surface of the cranial base and the posterior border of the ascending rami of the mandible.
Porion
The uppermost outermost point on the boney external auditory meatus.
SN Line
Represents the cranial base and is considered a stable landmark from 7yrs.
Frankfort plane
The line connecting porion and orbitale.
Maxillary plane (MxP)
The line connecting ANS and PNS.
