Centre on the C4, including the soft tissue borders and use 15 deg angle
Oblique cervical
Centre on the C4, 15 deg cephalad,
Left Posterior Oblique shows the
right intervertebral foramina
Lateral Cervical
Centre on the C4 (thyroid cartilage) and distance is 180cm
Swimmer’s view
180cm, centre at T1 - at the medial shoulder area
AP Thoracic
Centre at the level of the T7
Lateral Thoracic Spine
Centre at the level of T7
AP Lumbar
Centre at the level of L3 (b/w lower costal and crests) MSP
Lateral Lumbar
Level of L3 - 2cm to mid coronal plane
Oblique Lumbar
Centre at the level of L3 between MSP and skin border
Spot Projection
Centre at the level of L5 and S1, 4cm inferior to the crest, 4cm posterior to ASIS
AP Sacrum
15 cephalad angle and centre halfway blw ASIS and PS (MSP)
AP Coccygx
15 caudad and 5cm superior to PS, MSP
Lateral Sacrum and coccygx
10cm posterior to ASIS and check for butt dimples
AP Pelvis
Midway between ASIS and PS
AP Hip
5cm medial, 10cm inferior to the ASIS
Lateral Hip
Inguinal crease, mid femoral shaft laterally
Pelvic Inlet
40 deg caudad and MSP at the level of ASIS
Pelvic Outlet
35 deg cephalad and 5cm inferior to superior aspect of PS
