Why do you want this role?
1.The different rotations
Im not entirely sure how my career is going to progress, so having exposure to the different sections of such a major energy services business like centrica would provide me with invaluable experiences and allow me to enhance my skillset
2. The customer focus
Through part-time work such as being a waitress and a supermarket assistant, i have been able to develop my customer service skills. I really enjoy interacting and serving customers and using my initiative and experience to be able to solve problems. I am therefore attracted to the customer focus of this role and of centrica as a whole
3. Real interest in developing my business acumen
I would love to have this role and be provided with the support and training to enable me to develop my business management skills, although i completed a science degree- my studies refined my ability to analyse data and to problem solve.
Above all I am an enthusiastic individual and would bring 100% to this position
What skills do you have that would make you suitable for this role?
I have a skill set that I believe would make me well suited for this position
1. I have strong leadership skills
-i am currently training to be a supervisor at waitrose, this role includes co-ordinating colleagues, delegating tasks and organising breaks. Being an effective leader means that communication is always clear between everyone and that individuals feel valued and their opinions and preferences are taken on-board. Overall this results in a positive, efficient working environment
2. Team work
-i have had a-lot of experience with team sports, for example i played lacrosse in school and netball in university. Team sports has greatly developed my communication skills and my ability to give and receive constructive feedback to strengthen the position of the team. I really enjoy working in teams and look forward to collaborating and working with others in a business situation
3.Customer service skills
I have had a lot of experience with customer service, part time work such as being a waitress and a supermarket assistant has allowed me to greatly develop my interpersonal skills and as a result I am very comfortable interacting with customers and using my initiative and experience to problem solve.
Why do you want to work at centrica?
- The energy sector is an exciting industry to be in right now
-energy is a vital part of society and is absolutely essential, because of this- leaders in the industry, such as Centrica, need to be looking to more sustainable practices and actively work towards protecting the environment- i would love to be part of this sector and part of the team at Centrica that is actively involved in creating the initiatives and introducing the changes that brings the company further into the 21st century and maintains its position as a leader in the energy market - Values & customer focus
-Centrica prides itself on being ‘customer obsessed’ and mainly works to improve lives of customers and businesses, i have had a lot of experience with customer service and ultimately i really enjoy interacting with others and being able to help them with whatever their query may be- i would love to be part of Centrica because I think i would be a great fit and i would maintain Centricas record of providing excellent customer service

I really respect and resonate with the core values that Centrica practices across the company. For example showing care and courage towards employees and customers highlights that although Centrica is a business, being ethical and taking responsibility is something that is expected. Furthermore, its clear through the different initatives that Centrica provides- such as joiners receiving a buddy and the different networks open to employees- that Centrica cares about the wellbeing of their employees- I would love to be part of the inclusive, positive environment at Centrica
