Q

Movement steps of H+

A
1-H+ ions flow down their gradient
through the stator
2.- Each H+ enters a binding site in the
rotor, changing the shape of each
subunit
3. -Each H+ makes 1 full turn before
leaving through a channel into the
mitochondrial matrix.
4. -Turning rotor, turns the rod, which is
attached to the catalytic knob.
5.-Turn the rod activates catalytic sites
in the knob that turn ADP + Piinto
ATP!
