Cells to the system Flashcards
What are the anatomical terminology?
anterior, posterior, medial, lateral, intermediate, proximal, distal
Where is tissue common located?
embryonic origin
What are the tissues?
Cells function together to carry out specialised activities
What are the tissues types?
1- solid or hard bones
2- semisolid fats
3- liquid blood
What are the four basic tissue types?
epithelial, nerve, muscle, connective tissues
What is the function of epithelia tissues?
cover body surface, lines and hollow organs, duct, activities, and forming glands
What is the function of connective tissues?
connect, protect, and support organs. store energy as fat, and provide immunity
The epithelia tissues classified according to?
1- shape
2- cell arrengemnt
what are the types of epithelia tissues according to shape classification?
squamous, cuboidal, clamour, and transitional
what are the types of epithelia tissues according to cell arrangment classification?
simple, stratified, and pseudo-stratified
What is the simple squamous tissues?
flat, single cells. located in the lungs, bladder, and blood vessels. they allowed the absorption through diffusion
