In biology, the smallest unit that can perform all life processes.
Stem Cell
Unspecialized cells that are able to develop into many different types of cells.
Cell Differentiation
The process where cells become different types of cells.
Tissue
A group of similar cells that perform a common function.
Organ
A collection of tissue that carry out a specialized function of the body.
Organ system
A group of organs that work together to perform body functions.
Organism
A living thing.
Homeostasis
Steady internal conditions when external conditions change
Excretory
Removes solid, liquid, and gas waste materials from the body.
Respiratory system
Exchanges gases between the body and the environment.
Circulatory system
It transports gases, nutrients, waste, and other substances throughout the body.
Lymphatic System
Remove excess fluid from around organs, produces white blood cells, and absorbs and transports fats.
Immunity
The resistance to specific pathogens or disease causing agents.
Skeletal system
Protects internal organs, provides support, helps the body move, and stores minerals.
Muscular System
Helps the body moves.
