Cells Flashcards
What are the parts of the cells and what they do?
Cell membrane - controls what enters in and out of the cell.
Mitochondria- provides the cell with energy.
Lysosomes- digest excess organelles.
Nucleus - contains the DNA and acts as the brain of the cell
Ribosomes - makes protein
Endoplasmic reticulum- assembly many protein cells.
Gogli bodies-a cell organelle that helps process and package proteins and lipid molecules, especially proteins destined to be exported from the cell.
Vacuole- a cell sack that contains sugars and other substances in water.
Chloroplast- contains chlorophyll which is necessary for plants to carry out photosynthesis.
Cell wall-made of cellulose it helps to support and protect the cell.
What are the plants cell wall mad of?
Cellulose
What are some organelles of the plant cells that the animal cells do not have?
