gatekeeper; controls nutrients and waste
what is the cytoplasm?
a watery fluid, containing everything in the cell membrane and outside the nucleus
what is the vacuole?
used to store water and nutrients
what is the flagellum?
a whip-like tail, that helps the cell to move
what is cilia?
tiny hairs that move a cell
what is the cell wall?
the cell wall protects and supports the plant cell
what are chloroplasts?
chloroplasts are the food factories of the plant cell
what is the golgi apparatus?
used for storage, protein packing and shipping
what is the chloroplast?
produces chemical energy for the cell
what is osmosis?
the diffusion of water through a selectively permeable membrane
what is turgor pressure?
the outside pressure on the cell wall when a plant is watered
