What is the mitochondria?
The mitochondria is where most aerobic respiration happens.
What are ribosomes?
Ribosomes are where proteins are made in the cell.
What is a plant cells cell wall made of?
Cellulose.
What are chloroplasts?
Chloroplasts are where photosynthesis happens in a plant cell.
What organisms are eukaryotic?
Animals, plants, fungi and protists.
What sub cellular structures make up bacteria?
Cell wall, cell membrane, cytoplasm, a single loop of DNA and plasmids which are small rings of extra DNA.
What microscope would be used to look at a cells nucleus?
A light microscope, as they can see larger sub cellular structures.
What microscope would be used to look at smaller sub cellular structures?
An electron microscope, as they have a higher resolution and magnification than a light microscope. So they can see things in more detail and show smaller structures like plasmids and ribosomes.
What formula do you use to work out the magnification of an image?
magnification= imagine size divided by real size (both in same units)
