gel like solution thick and transparent - mainly made up of water also containing solutes and solids

powerhouse of the cell - atp is generated here through cellular respiration
ribosomes
where proteins are synthesised - some ribosomes are free moving others are attached to the Endoplasmic recticulum
endoplasmic recticulum
where chemical reactions happen as well as it helps move molecules around the cell. full of tubules filled with fluid
ER Rough
ribosomes can attach, temporarily stores new proteins and is a site for protein synthesis also helps with secreting from the cell
smooth ER
no proteins are made here and ribosomes cant attach - helps with lipid formation and detoxifying what the body does not want.
